★ Introduction

AD340-CI64MS extends AD340 AlarmCaller capacity to 64 alarm inputs by introducing a communication interface. Using the built-in RS-232 interface to connect to an IO device such as a PLC, it can receive alarm status from the device through communication. Supporting Modbus RTU, an industrial standard protocol, AD340-CI64M acts as a Modbus slave to get alarm inputs passively. Upon detection of an alarm input on the device, the corresponding text message will be sent to designated users. Alarm reset messages can also be defined and sent to indicate that alarm conditions have been cleared.
